The Mark Munsell Memorial Foundation and the Missouri National Guard Ag Development Team present: 2008 Shoe Drive to Benefit Afghan Children.
The Missouri National Guard Ag Development Team wants to send a truckload of shoes! Come support the team by contributing shoes for distribution to the Afghan locals as part of their 'Farmers helping Farmers' program to help rebuild the agriculture in their war-torn economy. The types of shoes requested are: Running shoes (Used clean running shoes in good condition are great.), Sandals, & Flip Flops. You may deposit any shoes.
Shoe Drop Off events - The MO National Guard will have a truck at the drop-off point for both races.
- Fleet Feet Marathon, Verizon Amphitheatre, 6:45 AM, Maryland Heights, Sept. 14th.
- Lewis & Clark Marathon on Sept 14, the shoe drop-off point will be at the race packet pick-up and drop-off point by the white tent located at the Verizon Wireless Ampitheater.
- St. Louis Track Club Special Olympics/Clayton Police Half-Marathon/5K, 8am Center of Clayton, Nov. 2nd
- St. Louis Track Club race on Nov 2, the shoe drop-off point will be at the Center of Clayton, 50 Gay Avenue, Clayton, MO
